Therapeutic exercises are physical activities and exercises for patients recovering from injuries, or chronic conditions, and those wanting to improve their overall bodily functioning. These exercises are optimized for each patient individually according to their needs. Therapeutic exercise corrects impairments, restores muscular and skeletal functions, reduces pain, increases flexibility and stability, and maintains a healthy life.

At New Horizon Wellness Center, These therapeutic exercises are integrated, according to your special needs, into your chiropractic treatment plans. In the hands of our top chiropractors, these exercises will have a long-lasting impact and help you regain fitness quickly. The benefits of these exercises include:

  • Enhanced Mobility and Flexibility
  • Improved Blood Circulation
  • Energy Boost and Pain Reduction
  • Better Body Mechanics and Posture
  • Improved Mental Health and Enhanced Quality Of Life

Therapeutic Exercise Solutions

Strength Exercise

These exercises are focused on helping rebuild weak muscle tissues, especially after an injury or surgical procedure. Depending on your fitness level, these exercises have intensity ranges to develop muscles quickly and enhance overall strength.

Endurance Exercise

Specifically to be performed for a longer duration and involve more overall muscle movement. Endurance training includes swimming, walking, using stairs instead of elevators, and low-level gymnastics, and it helps improve the cardiovascular system.

Balance and coordination Exercise

Coordination is the weakest in rehab as the target muscles are weaker. These exercises help muscles grow, work efficiently and in coordination with the body, improve balance, and help you move better with a reduced risk of future injuries.

Flexibility Exercise

With stiff joints and muscles, stretching your body can be difficult. Flexibility sessions help you loosen your muscles and improve your range of motion. These are usually the last exercises to perform as they are easier to do with warmed-up muscles.

FAQs

Visit our clinic and we will assess you. After assessment, our doctors will prescribe you the best therapeutic exercises exactly suited for your fitness level and body type.

Therapeutic exercises are designed to enhance your bodily functions, you can choose to stop them but our suggestion will be to keep exercising your body. Regular exercise will help keep your body healthy.

It depends on the patient. Some patients who regularly exercise at home don't need therapeutic treatment. While some, especially those who have recently recovered from an injury must perform these exercises to get in better shape.

First, we will assess you. After the therapeutic program is assigned to you, you will meet with the physical therapist to review the plan. Then you will begin by first learning each exercise, then mastering the movement for proper form, and then slowly increasing intensity. This is the basic outline and your therapist will continue to assess you and make changes to your plan.
